Slide notes: Sales Points and Receipt Desks
that work with or receive Cash, Cheques and Payments are connected to Cash
Receipt Accounts, and for Cash Receipt Accounts we perform Cash Ups to
balance the Cash Tills. Deposits are then processed, possibly leaving a
float for the Cash Desk, and the designated Amount is put either into a
transit Bank Account or processed directly as a Bank Deposit to the Bank
Account. Cash Ups can be performed on demand as often as required, and the
Cash Up system is a catch-all safety net for past, present and future
transactions to ensure that Cash is dealt with in a verifiable manner.
